July 18, 2017 -  Yesterday the California Highway Patrol-Mariposa office posted the following on their Facebook page:

I do not recommend coming to a law enforcement operated road closure with large amounts of marijuana and loaded weapons in your possession.

Just after 2:30 P.M. a man from Atwater contacted an officer working the Bear Valley and Exchequer Road closure.

The party was arrested and booked into the Mariposa County Jail on multiple felony charges.
