July 20, 2017 - Due to the catastrophic Detwiler fire, evacuation of the county seat, and closure of all entrances into the town of Mariposa, the Mariposa Superior Court was evacuated on Tuesday, July 18th at approximately 12:00 P.M.and has remained closed since that time.

The Courthouse, as well as the surrounding town of Mariposa area has survived.

It is our intent to reopen shortly after the evacuation of the town of Mariposa has been lifted, and the reopening of the major highways into town. Our hope is to reopen on Monday, July 24, 2017.
