December 17, 2017 - On Thursday, December 7, Sierra Foothill Charter School first through fourth graders enjoyed a field trip to Mariposa County High School to see teacher Bryan Starchman's drama class perform puppet shows they had created. Students also were entertained by fun drama games and learned how to create puppets. SFCS students had a great time seeing the high school students perform and having opportunities to participate.

MCHS students conduct a puppet show while SFCS students set the stage with the signs they are holding behind the performers. For instance, in a library, people are supposed to use quiet voices. In one drama game, the students on the right are late for Mr. Starchman's class. They don't know why. The students on the left are trying to act out the excuse that they forgot their lunch and had to go back home to get it.
