February 15, 2018 - With the help of $400 provided by the MCHS Academic Boosters Club, Mariposa County High School took 35 of its students enrolled in the California Scholarship Federation on an ice skating field trip to Yosemite National Park on February 14, 2018.

CSF is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to recognize and encourage academic achievement and community service among middle and high school students throughout California. To apply, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in specific core curriculum classes. Freshmen are eligible based on their first semester grades. Applications are in the Counseling Office. The cost of becoming a member is $5. In addition to a fun field trip each year, students who remain members for at least 4 terms (one of which must be senior year) are awarded lifetime membership. They receive a CSF Lifetime pin, a separate CSF gold seal diploma, and an Honor Cord to wear at graduation.
