March 9, 2018 – The Mariposa Museum and History Center will host a Fireside Chat with John Schroeder on Sunday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Schroeder is a local 4th generation resident of Mariposa County. He will present a fascinating talk with many photographs, about the Schroeder Ranch and Mine on Saxon Creek in Midpines.
Learn about the Schroeder family history from 1860 to present day. Hear about the Schroeder mine- its discovery, working the mine, and family involvement through the years. John will give his perspective on how the Colorado Mining district has changed over the past 100 years.
Mariposa Museum and History Center is located at 5119 Jessie Street in Mariposa. Admission is free.
