October 31, 2014 - Due to precipitation in the upcoming forecast, the Tioga Road and Glacier Point Road will preemptively close at 6:00 p.m.tonight, Friday, October 31.

Four to eight inches of snow is expected between 6,000 feet and 8,000 feet in elevation, with six to 15 inches of snow expected above 8,000 feet in elevation. Snowfall is expected to accumulate through late Saturday morning. 

Yosemite National Park Road crews will reassess both roads Sunday afternoon or Monday morning to determine if/when reopening is possible.
