Thanks to our community’s generous donations and support, Soroptimist International of Mariposa delivered 500 pounds of candy to our local neighborhoods to distribute to the children of Mariposa on Halloween night.  This effort provided much needed assistance and support to the homeowners who bear the economic burden of hosting Mariposa’s safe trick-or-treating venue.

Soroptimist International of Mariposa wishes to thank the following for making the first annual Halloween Candy Drive a huge success:  Happy Burger Diner, Starchman & Bryant Law Offices, Pioneer Market, Mariposa Gazette, the Sierra Sun Times, Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office, Mariposa County Government Center, Mariposa County Human Services, Steve’s Sportsman Café, Sal’s Mexican Restaurant, Triangle Market, Bootjack Market, Hornitos Post Office, Catheys Valley Post Office, Coast Hardware, Idle Wheels homeowners and the residents of Mariposa County for donating candy and funds.
