June 25, 2018 - Music on the Green - brought to you by The Mariposa County Arts Council and its many fine sponsors – continues into the 2018 season of great music, featuring the gypsy-jazz of Before Perils on Friday, June 29, and while the Art Park stage goes dark on Saturday, June 30, shining a light on the Mariposa Symphony Orchestra’s Independence Day Spectacular performance at the Mariposa County Amphitheater.

Over the last nine years, Before Perils has refined its four member’s cross-fusion of styles into something beyond the Gypsy Jazz genre, molding a mature acoustic music that shares its rythmic diversity with the dynamics of Rock – powerful and original in live performance. Over the last decade the group has built quite a local fanbase from their previous appearances on the Art Park Stage, and we welcome their return. Music on the Green returns to its regular schedule on Friday, July 6, with concerts every Friday and Saturday evening through Saturday, August 25.

All performances begin at 7:00 P.M. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Free parking on 5th Street along the Creek Walkway to the Park, also providing handicapped access.
The shows are free to the public – tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated.
