July 14, 2018 -  Are you or Someone you know looking to become a Wildland Firefighter? Are you looking for a career, not just a "job"? Do you want to have the opportunity to work hard, get dirty, and travel across the country?

Yosemite Adult School, in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service, will be offering two Wildland Fire Academies in 2018 - 2019 school year. These courses are Free of Charge. The first academy is scheduled for November 9, 10, 11 and 16, 17, 18, 2018. The second academy is scheduled for March 15, 16, 17 and 22, 23, 24, 2019.
After completion of this 40 hours course you will earn NWCG (National Wildland Fire Coordinating Group) S-180, L-180, and S-190 certificates. These certificates meet the basic wildland firefighter training standards for all the Federal Wildland Fire Agencies.
