Mariposa County Election Results Summary Report for November 4, 2014


This is an Unofficial Final Report released on Wednesday, November 12, 2014

Compared to the Election Night Report the Election Day Turnout increased from 1,864 to 1,995 an increase of 131 voters at the polls.

The Vote by Mail Ballots increased from 3,934 to 4,701, an increase of 767 ballots.

In the Mariposa County District 3 Supervisor Race, Marshall Long gained 150 votes from 882 (65.14%) to 1,032 (65.86%). Kris Casto gained 63 votes from 472 (34.86%) to 535 (34.14%).

On Measure K (TOT Increase) the Yes votes increased 288 votes, from 1,865 (32.99%) to 2,153 (33.02%). The No votes increased 578 votes, from 3,789 (67.01%) to 4,367 (66.98%).

The closest contest in Mariposa County was for Prop 47 where 13 votes separated the Yes and No voters. No, won in the county with 50.10%.

In the race for Congressional District 4 Tom McClintock gained 473 votes, from 3,168 (60.21%) to 3,641 (60.20%). Art Moore gained 313 votes, from 2,094 (39.79%) to 2,407 (39.80%).
