November 17, 2014 - On November 16th, 2014 at approximately 9:06 a.m., Mariposa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 5000 block of Highway 140 just north of the Highway 49 North intersection regarding a possible dead body. Upon arrival, deputies met with the reporting party who directed them to the nearby body. The reporting party was walking in the area when she spotted the body on the grassy hillside.
The Sheriff’s Office investigation identified the deceased to be Mr. Aaron Troy, 41. It appears that Mr. Troy was an apparent victim of suicide. The investigation is ongoing.
