Special Statement 
San Joaquin has issued a Valley Wide caution for smoke impacts. Stage 2 air advisories are in effect for Inyo and Mono counties. These forecasts are for PM 2.5 only; ozone is NOT included.

Fire 
Donnell fire was active in the late afternoon, producing a visible column in the Sonora Pass area. Lions Fire experienced an area of increased activity as unstable air moved over the region. Ferguson fire will be securing the remaining "wedge" of the perimeter with very methodical and slow firing operations towards Turtleback Dome.

Smoke 
Diurnal pooling will continue to impact the regional forecast zone, settling in the major drainages. Communities along the Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Merced Gorge and San Joaquin will continue to see heavy smoke in the early morning and late evening. Mid-day lifting will push smoke towards the Yosemite Valley, Lee Vining, and Coleville. Expect heavy nighttime pooling in foothill communities on both sides of the Sierra's, with additional smoke from the Mendicino Complex moving into the San Joaquin Valley.
