Emergency Child Care Bridge Program

 

1.              Consideration of entering into an Agreement with Community Action Partnership of Madera County, in the amount of $228,691.00, for the provision of Emergency Child Care Services for foster children from September 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.

 

2.              Consideration of approval of Receipt of Unanticipated Revenue No. 18-018, in the amount of 228,691.00, derived from Social Services-Administration - CalWORKs - State and CalWORKs - Federal to Professional and Specialized Services and CalWORKs Child Care, for Fiscal Year 2018-2019. 4 Votes Required

Hearing to consider adoption of a Resolution confirming the report and authorizing the Auditor Controller to impose liens for delinquent utility fees and charges upon those parcels within the County Maintenance Districts and Service Areas in accordance with the revised report.

Presentation of the 2017 Madera County Crop and Livestock Report by the Agricultural Commissioner.

Discussion and consideration of entering into an Agreement with Madera Sunrise Rotary and Interact to use the Jail Annex for their annual Haunted House.

Discussion and consideration of approval to amend the Classification Plan for the Public Works Department as follows:

 

1.              Amend the Classification Plan by adding the classes of Road Superintendent and Utilities Superintendent within the Public Works Department.

 

2.              Amend the Classification Plan by adding the Class of Road Superintendent.

 

a.              Set the salary for Road Superintendent at Range 301 (MB2 0115), 5,639-$6,855 per month ($67,676 - $82,260 annually, $32.53 - $39.54 per hour).

 

b.              Designate the Road Superintendent as overtime exempt-ML, pursuant to the Fair Labor and Standards Act.

 

3.              Amend the Classification Plan by adding the Class of Utilities Superintendent.

 

a. Set the salary for Utilities Superintendent at Range 324 (MB2 0115), $6,325- $7,688 per month ($75,902 - $92,259 annually, $36.49 - $44.36 per hour).

             

b. Designate the Utilities Superintendent as overtime exempt-ML, pursuant to the Fair Labor and Standards Act.

 

4.              Amend the Classification Plan by eliminating the civil service class of Public Works Special Districts Manager.

 

5.              Direct the Human Resources/Operations Division to amend the Position Allocation within the Public Works Org Key #01300 by adding 1.0 FTE Road Superintendent position.

 

6.              Direct the Human Resources/Operations Division to amend the Position Allocation within the Special Districts Org Key #01340 by adding 1.0 FTE Utilities Superintendent position.

Discussion and consideration of approval to amend the Classification Plan for the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office as follows:

 

1.              Add the classifications of Property Tax and Sales Assistant and Senior Property Tax and Sales Assistant.

 

2.              Set the salary ranges for the two (2) above-referenced classifications as follows:

 

a.              Property Tax and Sales Assistant: Range 158 (CB2 1214), $2,736 - $3,326 per month ($32,837 - $39,913 annually, $15.78 - $19.19 per hour).

 

b.              Senior Property Tax and Sales Assistant: Range 178 (CB2 1214), $3,023 - $3,675 per month ($36,281 - $44,100 annually, $17.44 - $21.20 per hour).

 

3.              Designate the above-referenced classifications as overtime eligible, pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

 

4.              Allocate the above-referenced classifications to the Clerical Unit for bargaining purposes.

 

5.              Direct the Human Resources/Operations Division of County Administration to amend the Position Allocation, as approved in the 2018/19 Budget, in Org Key 00500 to reflect:

 

a.              Rename the 'Title Clerk' allocation to 'Property Tax and Sales Assistant or Senior Property Tax and Sales Assistant.’

Discussion and consideration of approval to authorize the appointment of Paola Magallanes at the “E Step” of Salary Range 250 (Table DPB2-1214), effective September 1, 2018.

Discussion and direction to submit an application for the 2018 Stream Flow Enhancement Grant from the California Wildlife Conservation Board, conduct all negotiations, and submit and execute all related grant documents.
