September 12, 2018 -  USDA Forest Service Musick Fuels Reduction and Landscape Restoration Project in the Sierra National Forest update.

The total Musick EA Project area is approximately 33,000 acres. The total area proposed for treatment is estimated to be about 12,000 acres.

Currently, a public meeting is planned for September 20, 2018, at 9:00am to be held at the Supervisors Office, 1600 Tollhouse Road in Clovis, CA 93611 with the intent to present information about the project and gather comments.

The purpose of this project is to respond to tree mortality within the vicinity of communities to create areas of strategically reduced fuels along roads, rides and strategically placed area treatments.  The proposed activities were developed in collaboration with adjacent land owners and CalFIRE.
