October 23, 2018 - If you’re having difficulty hearing or seeing on your Android Smartphone, a representative from California Phones will be available at the Oakhurst Branch Library on Saturday October 27, 2018, to walk Android owners through the basic functions of their Smartphone.

The free workshop is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the library’s Community Room at 49044 Civic Circle Dr., Oakhurst.

Robert “Skippy” Sumner, an outreach specialist for the Deaf & Disabled Telecommunications Program of the California Telephone Access Program, said people must bring their own Android Smartphone to the workshop.

Sumner said he will be assisting Pa Kou Cha, a California Telephone Access Program lead trainer, at the workshop.

In the class, Sumner said participants will learn how to make their Android Smartphone louder and easier to hear, send text messages, connect Bluetooth devices, operate the basic functions of Android Smartphones and more.

“This training is for anyone who has an Android Smartphone and doesn’t know how to use it,” he explained.
