weather mariposa november 7 2018

November 7, 2018 - The National Weather Service Hanford office reports a dry cold front will blow through the area later this week.

The cold airmass will bring the coldest temperatures of the season so far and a hard freeze will be possible in the Kern County Desert areas Saturday and Sunday mornings, with overnight lows in the mid 20s.

Patchy frost will also be possible in the typically coldest locations in the San Joaquin Valley as overnight lows will be as low as 33-35 degrees.

If you are in the Hard Freeze watch area, be prepared to take precautions to protect plants, people, animals and pipes from frigid temperatures.

Where patchy frost is possible, be prepared to protect sensitive plants.
