November 7, 2018 - The League of California Cities® released the following statement from Executive Director Carolyn Coleman on the election results of Propositions 6, 1 and 2.
“The November 2018 ballot measure election results are a win for California cities with voters protecting existing funding for bridge and road safety and supporting two measures that directly improve Californians’ quality of life.
By voting no on Proposition 6, the citizens of California have ensured that our communities will have the funding they need to continue critical transportation improvements in cities throughout California for our families and future generations.
With the passage of Propositions 1 and 2, California can now take an important step in addressing the affordable housing crisis in our communities with funding to build much-needed housing for our veterans, working families and those experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.”
