January 30, 2019 - In our gardens, there are various ways of increasing crop harvest. One of those ways is succession planting. It is simply the planning and planting of varieties that will mature in a succession as companion plants. The goal is to extend your harvest by staggering plantings of crops or planting varieties with staggered maturing dates.

The Mariposa Master Gardeners are offering a FREE “Succession Planting” workshop:

  • When: Saturday, February 16, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Where: Greeley Hill Community Center, 10332 Fiske Rd, Coulterville, CA 95311
  • Who: Betty Massey, Mariposa Master Gardener
