Breakfast has been cancelled due to bad weather.

Due to the impending storms, we have cancelled this Sunday's Breakfast at the Schoolhouse. The Coulter Cafe has generously offered to donate a portion of anyone's breakfast bill to the museum if you mention the Breakfast that morning (they don't open until 8:30 A.M.)

Coulterville Museum Re-Opens for 2019 - Highway 49 Featured in Exhibit

February 4, 2019 - The Northern Mariposa County History Center, located in the heart of Coulterville at the intersection of Highway 49 and 132, and will reopen to the public this week on Thursday, February 7th.  On the heels of a fun and successful gala reopening held on February 2nd, the museum resumed its regular hours and is open every Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M., plus additional special holidays (TBA) through year-end.  There is no admission fee, although donations are always welcome.

If you did not attend the Traveling Through Time on Highway 49 gala, be sure and stop by and check out the terrific new and revamped displays.  They include a special exhibit featuring the history of the development of Highway 49, a refurbished 1800’s era parlor, a new wildlife exhibit focusing on one of the area’s top predators, the cougar, and also include changes to the Native American and Asian exhibits.  The Pioneer Family exhibit features items discovered in the Barrett family room when the long-sealed doors were opened last year.
