February 8, 2019 – Mariposa County Sheriff’s Department announce the opening of area warming centers due to predicted storm.
Due to predicted low temperatures, wind, and snow on Saturday (Feb. 9th) and Sunday (Feb. 10th) evenings, Mariposa County will open a warming center at the Human Services Building at 5362 Lemee Lane in Mariposa, and Greeley Hill Community Center in Greeley Hill.
Both will be available to all from 5:00 P.M. - Saturday through Sunday morning and 5:00 P.M. - Sunday through Monday morning. Snacks, beverages, and cots will be available, but we ask that people bring bedding and/or sleeping bags.
