April 11, 2019 - TUOLUMNE COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is preparing a highway improvement project that will caltranssignstrengthen a slope on State Route 120 – about 5 miles east of Buck Meadows – to prevent further erosion and future rock and landslides.

Work is scheduled to start Monday, April 15, 2019, with the project expected to finish in June 2019. Work work will be performed weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Friday’s work ending at 3:00 p.m. so that the highway is clear for weekend visitors and tourists to the region.

Motorists should expect delays of 10 minutes.

Steve Manning Construction of Redding is performing this work for $484,000.
