According to terms of his plea agreement he will receive 8 years in State Prison and two “strikes.” In addition the defendant will be subject to a 10 year parole period and will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

"We consulted closely with the family of the victims about the strength of our case and other factors. They are satisfied and relieved by the plea resolution which would result in the defendant serving the upper term of eight (8) years state prison time, 10 year parole, and lifetime sex offender registration. This was a good and effective resolution to the case, which will punish the suspect for his crimes, give relief to the victims and protect the community," said Mariposa County District Attorney Walter Wall.

The defendant will be sentenced on July 16, 2019. At sentencing, the Court will impose the upper term prison sentence of eight (8) years on the Lewd and Lascivious Acts charges. The case against Imamura was investigated by the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office in late 2018 following a tip from the National Internet Crimes against Children Task Force and was filed by the District Attorney’s office on March 13, 2019.
