September 23, 2019 - Susan Hatch, a licensed, independent insurance agent who objectively represents all Medicare Supplement plan types, will share her knowledge about new Medicare updates for 2020 at the Oakhurst Branch Library from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

The workshop will be held in the library’s Community Room at 49044 Civic Circle Drive, Oakhurst.

According to Hatch, choosing a Medicare Plan can be difficult and frustrating.

“I can guide people through the Medicare maze and help find the right plan for them. By performing extensive yearly Medicare Plan study comparisons, I help people understand the confusing and drastic Medicare changes that occur every year,” she explained.

Among the items she plans to address at the workshop is what she describes as the “shocking” new Office of the Inspector General report about Medicare plans. According to Hatch, the purpose of the OIG is to protect the integrity of the Department of Health and Human Services programs as well as the health and welfare of program beneficiaries.

Other topics she will discuss include what is the best Medicare plan, the new Plan G, Plan F elimination updates and whether Medicare for all is good or bad for seniors.

She will also include information about the “best” Part D Drug Plan for 2020, hearing aids and vision provisions on some plans and how a very ill person can get a guaranteed acceptance to a Medicare supplement.

Hatch has educated thousands of seniors about the “raw truth” of Medicare insurance over the years and said she is committed “to helping people get their healthcare freedom and control back in their own hands.

Hatch’s love and passion for seniors began as a child on her grandparents’ farm in Clovis. Years later, she worked exclusively for seniors as a Home Care Nursing Assistant for nine years.

“One of my quadriplegic clients also had multiple sclerosis and cancer. Through that experience, I was able to see firsthand the many difficulties seniors can endure with insurance companies,” she continued.

Today, Hatch is a well-known specialist in Medicare Supplemental insurance laws in California, a talk radio guest expert on various Medicare topics and a national speaker and author among other distinctions. She was awarded the #1 Medicare Supplement Agent in California.

The free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Oakhurst Branch Library. For more information, call the library at (559) 683-4838 or visit www.oakhurstfobl.com.
