January 16, 2015 - Madera County Sheriff Jay Varney announced today, two subjects in an ongoing theft and fraud case remain behind bars after deputies captured the pair earlier this week in Oakhurst.

James-Cutter-Randrup27-year old James Cutter Randrup of Coarsegold and 29-year old Kara Nicole Raynor of Ahwahnee, face numerous felony charges, which include vehicle theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and fraud. 

Randrup also faces narcotic charges.

According to reports, mountain deputies received a tip that Randrup tried to sell two stolen bicycles to a mountain bike shop in Oakhurst. He was still inside the store when deputies arrived. Raynor was sitting inside their vehicle – a pickup later discovered stolen out of Fresno.

The mountain couple was booked into Madera County Department of Corrections. Bail set at $35,000 for each.
