Note: These numbers do not include additional testing through the commercial lab system, hospitals and clinics. Although Mariposa County Public Health does not receive information on the number of tests sent through those systems, Public Health is notified of all positive result tests.

March 25, 2020 - There are currently NO cases of COVID-19 and no persons are being monitored as returned travelers in Mariposa County. The Governor has issued a “Stay at Home” order for the State of California, Mariposa County Residents are still able to leave home for essential functions; Doctors Appointments, Grocery Shopping, Auto Shops etc

SYMPTOMS AND TESTING:
Who should Test: Fever, cough, shortness of breath. Emergency warning signs include: Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, confusion or inability to arouse, bluish lips or face. If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. * This list is not all inclusive. Please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning. Please call ahead so that appropriate precautions can be taken.

Older patients and individuals who have severe underlying medical conditions or those with immunocompromised: contact your healthcare provider early, even if your illness is mild

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:
 Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for 20 seconds.
 Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
 Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
 Stay away from work, school or other people if you become sick with respiratory symptoms such as fever and cough.
 Cover sneezes or coughs with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
