July 22, 2020 - Two John C. Fremont Healthcare District's staff members have tested positive for COVID-19. Our Infection Control department has conducted contact tracing JCF butterfly smwith support from the Mariposa County Health & Human Services Agency. Staff members identified as close contacts have been placed into quarantine.

All staff, including the COVID-19 confirmed staff member, have worn face masks, performed hand hygiene and adhered to social distancing while in direct patient care areas since the pandemic began. In addition to face masks, the use of face shields has been required in patient care areas since July 20th further reducing the risk of transmission.

Risk of exposure to patients is considered low at this time. The investigation determined that no patients that may have come into contact with the cases require quarantine.
