July 26, 2020 -Senate Bill 474, authored by Senator Henry Stern (D-Calabasas) is not being pursued this year.

The bill, as recently amended, would have prohibited all commercial and residential development in Very High Fire Hazards Severity Zones (VHFHSZ) and State Responsibility Areas (SRA).

Representatives with Senator Stern’s office confirmed the bill will not be set or heard in policy committee.
