August 3, 2020 - Mariposa County COVID-19 Case Updates 8/3/20.

One (1) COVID-19 case transferred and two (2) new positive COVID-19 cases reported today.

Case 57 update- During case investigation it was determined that Case 57-82 year old male, reported yesterday 8/2/20, resides at a skilled nursing facility in Madera County. Case 57 will be transferred to Madera County.

Two (2) New Positive Mariposa County Cases reported today.

Case 57– 63 year old male. Person to Person. This individual has recovered. They were self-isolating while waiting for test results.

Case 58 - 59 year old female. Investigation is underway.

Mariposa County currently has a total of 58 cases.

Avoid large gatherings, wear a face covering, and practice good hand hygiene and maintain social distance.

We can all do this by avoiding large gatherings, wearing a cloth face covering, and practicing good hand hygiene.

Avoid those who are sick, continue to socially distance, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

In addition, recognize symptoms early, stay home if you are sick, and cover your coughs and sneezes.

Who should Test: Fever, cough, shortness of breath. 
Emergency warning signs include: Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, confusion or inability to arouse, bluish lips or face. If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. * This list is not all inclusive. Older patients and individuals who have severe underlying medical conditions or those with immunocompromised: contact your healthcare provider early, even if your illness is mild

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:

• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay away from work, school or other people if you become sick with respiratory symptoms such as fever and cough.
