September 21, 2020 - The U.S. Forest Service reports smoke and air quality outlook for the San Joaquin-Yosemite areas, due to the Creek Fire.

Fire: The Creek Fire was most active in the North Zone, with moderate activity in the south. The footprint of the Lion Fire slowed growth on the northeast perimeter. Today fire activity will be similar to yesterday. For the latest Creek Fire fire information and details, go to: https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/videos/7147/

Smoke: Yesterday smoke settled back into the area leading to Unhealthy to Very Unhealthy air quality at all sites nearest the fire. Smoke will likely accumulate again today, further degrading air quality. Areas furthest from the fire should remain in the Moderate to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG).

Notes: Sensitive populations more susceptible to smoke impacts include children, the elderly, people with heart or lung problems, and people with respiratory illnesses.
