October 23, 2020 - Burglar Alarms on gas pumps alerted Deputies to the Stage Stop Gas Station just after 10:30 P.M. on Thursday, October 22nd. Deputies located Ahmed Roca Socarras of Escalon standing in front of one of the pumps. Mr. Roca Socarras had multiple items used to open the fuel pumps as well as a credit card skimming device. The pumps were opened and checked for any skimmers inside, none were located.

Stage Stop has been targeted multiple times in the past by credit card skimmers. The combination of an alarm system and a quick response by deputies prevented them from being hit again.

Ahmed Roca Socarras was arrested and booked and released from the Mariposa County Adult Detention Facility.
