November 12,  2020 - The U.S. Forest Service reports smoke and air quality outlook for the San Joaquin-Yosemite areas, due to the Creek Fire.

Fire: The Creek Fire is 379,802 acres is 70% contained. Moderating temperatures and light, variable winds will provide favorable conditions for suppression repair. Light fuels remain saturated by the recent rain and snow, and fire spread is unlikely for the remainder of the season. Fire information can be found at: inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/7147/

Smoke: Cal Fire will be burning piles on the West side of Shaver Lake beginning today. Light winds are expected to transport some smoke to the North and West of Shaver Lake Heights and Rock Haven. Smoke production is not expected to impact other communities surrounding the fire.
