January 9, 2021 - Mariposa County COVID-19 Case Update 1/9/21.

Ten (10) new COVID-19 positive cases reported today.

Case 309 - 47 year old male. Isolated. Person to person transmission.

Case 310 - 70 year old female. Isolated. Travel related transmission.

Case 311 - 52 year old female. Isolated. Community transmission.

Case 312 - 30 year old male. Isolated. Person to person transmission.

Case 313 - 28 year old female. Isolated. Person to person transmission.

Case 314 - 2 year old male. Isolated. Person to person transmission.

Case 315 - 29 year old male. Isolated. Person to person transmission.

Case 316 - 27 year old female. Isolated. Person to person transmission.

Case 317 - 53 year old male. Isolated. Person to person transmission.

Case 318 - 34 year old male. Recovered. Travel related transmission.

Mariposa County currently has 318 total cases. 52 of those are currently active with one (1) hospitalized.

Regional ICU availability is at 0% and the four-week projection does not meet the criteria to exit the Regional Stay Home Order.

Avoid large gatherings, wear a face covering, and practice good hand hygiene and maintain social distance.

Older patients and individuals who have severe underlying medical conditions or those with immunocompromised: contact your healthcare provider early, even if your illness is mild

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:
• Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for 20 seconds.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay away from work, school or other people if you become sick with respiratory symptoms such as fever and cough.
• Cover sneezes or coughs with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
