April 5, 2021 - Sierra Foothill Charter School (SFCS), a TK-8 public school located at 4952 School House Road in Catheys Valley,  continues to accept New Student Intent to Enroll forms and Continuing Student Re-enrollment forms as part of its Open Enrollment period for the 2021-2022 school year. Open Enrollment ends Monday, April 12 at 4 P.M.

As a public school, Sierra Foothill Charter School (SFCS) is nonsectarian, tuition-free, does not test or assess students in any way prior to admission, and does not discriminate based on disability, gender, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.

Those interested in having their children attend SFCS in 2021-2022 are encouraged to submit Intent to Enroll forms by April 12. Forms can be picked up at the school or downloaded from the SFCS website.  To have the form mailed, emailed or faxed, call the school office at (209) 742-6222.

It is important to note that the waiting list does not carry over from year to year. If you have a child on the waiting list for this 2020-2021 school year and would like your child to attend in 2021-2022, you will need to re-submit a New Student Intent to Enroll form by the April 12 deadline.

If the number of students wishing to attend SFCS exceeds its capacity in any classroom, SFCS will hold a random public drawing (lottery) on Wednesday, April 14 at 4:00 P.M. on campus.

If a lottery becomes necessary, existing students are guaranteed enrollment and will be exempt as long as Continuing Student Re-enrollment forms are submitted during the open enrollment period. Siblings of enrolled students are also exempt from the lottery and will be offered admission if space is available, taken in the order that enrollment forms are received.

If SFCS holds a lottery, new students will be notified of admission or position on the waiting list by mail. If parents would like to know sooner than by mail, they are welcome to attend the lottery on April 14 at 4:00 P.M. Registration packets will be made available soon after.

If a lottery is not necessary, new students will still be notified of their admission, and students will continue to be admitted in the order that enrollment forms are received until such time as classrooms become full. Once classrooms are full, interested parties will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted if space becomes available.
