Update: 4:38 P.M. Per Mono County Sheriff's Office: Things are shaking in Walker and Coleville! That 5.9 earthquake and several aftershocks have caused a rockslide on 395 at Chris Flat in Walker Canyon. No other reports of significant damage yet. It was felt throughout Mono County and beyond. And no, we don’t know why it was labeled as 23 miles from Smith Valley.

Update:
As of 4:11 P.M. seven more earthquakes were recorded in the Dardanelle to Markleville area ranging from 2.9 to 4.2.

The Farmington earthquake is no longer on the current map, maybe it was a false report.

July 8, 2021 - Two earthquakes at almost the same time today in California.

The first one was an M 5.9 - 32km SSW of Smith Valley, NV at 2021-07-08 22:49:48 (UTC) at 38.523°N 119.497°W at 9.8 km depth.

The second one was recorded about 25 seconds later and was an M 4.8 - 11 km WSW of Farmington, California at 2021-07-08 22:50:13 (UTC) 37.895°N 121.126°W at 8.0 km depth.
