July 21, 2021 - Local musician Scott Patrick Little is set to perform for Music on the Green on Friday, July 23rd. No stranger to the Art Park stage, or many a stage throughout California's central valley and foothills, Scott is a very active and hardworking performer. Scott creates a fat sound for his solo act by playing a bass drum simultaneously along with his guitar and using effects such chorus on his vocals. The audience will be singing along as he smoothly executes his renditions of hit songs spanning genres and generations.

On Saturday, July 24th, Soul Galaxy returns to Music on the Green. If you are into the blues, or virtuosic electric guitar playing, you will enjoy this band. Guitarist Tim Hagar is a full-blown shredder whose career as a professional guitar player has seen him playing as a contemporary to some of the best on some of the most renown stages in the world. Holding down the drums, and no slouch in his own right is Jon Kidd. Jon also has had quite an extensive career as a pro drummer on the southern California music scene as well as our local scene. Charles Green brings the funk on the bass.
Soul Galaxy will perform on Saturday, July 24th
A complete schedule of the talent performing throughout this summer season can be found at MariposaArtsCouncil.org. Tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated. All performances begin at 7:00 P.M. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Parking is available along 5th Street and the lower 5th St. parking lot for accessible pedestrian path through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
As an additional feature, the Arts Council is proud to introduce Mariposa County High School Junior, Autumn Stock as the 2021 Music on the Green Student Artist. A budding watercolor painter, Stock was selected by the Arts Council to create original artwork for Music on the Green’s design material. “Growing up in Yosemite, I’ve always had a huge appreciation for the natural world…” says Autumn. “It has inspired all of my paintings, and plein air watercolor in particular.
