May 18, 2015 - The Mariposa County Health Department and the Health Sciences Research Institute at UC Merced are jointly convening a one day( 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) symposium in the Board Room, Government Center, Mariposa on May 20, 2015. 

The purpose of the symposium is to provide information to residents about potential health impacts related to climate change.

Speakers include medical professionals, elected representatives, regulators, researchers, academics, planners, and land managers. 

The symposium will involve distinguished guests from: UC Merced, Yosemite National Park, Cal Fire, Cal-BRACE, California Department of Water Resources, Sierra Nevada Research Institute and Mariposa County officials and representatives. 

The symposium is free and open to the public.
