September 4, 2021 - Merced – On September 4, at 7:53 A.M., Merced Police Officers responded to the 1100 block of Loughborough Drive in Merced regarding a stabbing. Officers located a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Detectives were called out to assist with the investigation. The suspect was identified as Ryan Butler Vigil (30) of Merced. An arrest warrant has been issued for Vigil for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

Vigil fled prior to the arrival of responding officers and remains at large. If you know the whereabouts of Vigil, please contact the Merced Police Department.
