Sierra Foothill Charter School students in grades TK- 4 had a wonderful time watching the opera “Who Stole B Flat?” at UC Merced. The opera was performed by four talented actors and actresses from different parts of California, including one UC Merced student. Before the opera began, the director of the show spoke with students about what opera is all about. Students also were able to participate during the opera. This was a lot of fun for everyone. Thanks very much to MyIP and Trish Gilger for providing SFCS with this wonderful field trip opportunity!

SFCS students were able to participate in the this field trip thanks to Mariposa Youth Impact (MyIP). MyIP is a subsidiary of the Mariposa Community Foundation. Formed in 2012, MyIP works to bring about programs that will have a positive impact on the lives of Mariposa youth.
