November 9, 2021 - On Saturday, November 6 (11/6/21) at 9:00 P.M. Officers responded to a call of shots fired at 3250 G Street in Merced. A dark colored Charger was leaving the scene. Officer Richter located the vehicle and stopped it at El Portal Dr. and G Street. A 17-year-old passenger leg bailed from the vehicle, and three other juveniles remained in the vehicle.

A 16-year-old passenger was found to be in possession of a firearm and was identified as one of the shooters. A 21-year-old male was identified as the victim in this case. He was punched in the face and assaulted with a firearm. He was then shot at but not struck. The 16-year-old was booked at juvenile hall for assault with a deadly weapon. The 17-year-old has been identified but is still outstanding.
