Updated: June 11, 2015 - The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office reports the victims in this case did NOT hire Christopher Robesky as their house sitter. They had a signed agreement with Sunday Robesky only to provide house sitting duties while they were away.
June 9, 2015 - On Saturday, May 30, 2015 a Mariposa County resident reported to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office that several items had been taken from their property. The resident indicated to responding deputies they had hired a house sitter to stay in their home while on vacation for 15 days.

christopher robesky oakurst mariposaReviewing the security surveillance footage, investigating deputies were able to identify Sunday Robesky,49, of Oakhurst and Christopher Robesky,44, of Oakhurst as the husband and wife hired to house sit, removing items from the home. While reviewing the footage with the deputies, the homeowners were able to clearly see the Robesky’s loading items small and large into their vehicles. The footage also shows Sunday Robesky covering and uncovering the video cameras on several occasions.

On Monday, June 1, 2015 the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office along with members from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office served a warrant on Sunday Robesky and Christopher Robesky at a residence in Oakhurst. Sunday Robesky and Christopher Robesky were taken into custody without incident.

Sunday Robesky was booked into the Mariposa County Jail on charges of PC459 Burglary, PC487 Grand Theft, PC182(A)(1) Conspiracy. She is currently being held on sunday robesky oakurst mariposa$50,000 bail

Christopher Robesky was booked into the Mariposa County Jail on charges of PC459 Burglary, PC487 Grand Theft, PC182(A)(1) Conspiracy, PC242 Assault and Battery. At arraignment the Judge increased his bail amount, he is now currently being held on $150,000 bail.
