Ms. Starchman's third and fourth graders at Sierra Foothill Charter School have been learning about Native American tribes from California, one of their social studies standards for this year. Last week, they visited the Native American Museum in Yosemite to continue with their studies. While in the park, they enjoyed a short hike by the lower falls before walking on to the Native American museum. Outside the museum, Ranger Andy welcomed the class and gave a half hour presentation on the park and about the Native Americans that lived in Yosemite. After lunch, students went through the museum. Students enjoyed learning more about Yosemite and one of California’s Native American tribes.
