February 10, 2022 - The Merced Police Department reports at 12:51 p.m. Wednesday, Merced police officers responded to Prestigio Jewelers for a robbery. We had multiple witnesses that reported 10 to 15 black male adults and juveniles, with masks over their faces, causing a disturbance and later using hammers to break out windows and display cases before taking merchandise from the store. At this time it is unknown exactly what property was stolen and the value of the items. Detectives are working to locate witnesses as well as video surveillance in an attempt to identify and possible suspects and vehicles involved.
