February 14, 2022 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations on State Routes 49, 132 and 140 this week in Mariposa County.

Route 49

• Single-lane closure at various locations from the Mariposa/Madera County Line to Route 140 for sweeping operations beginning Monday, February 14, through Friday, February 18, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Mocassin Switchback Road to Bear Valley Road for drainage work beginning Monday, February 14, through Friday, February 18, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Fournier Street to Macready Way for utility work beginning Thursday, February 17, through Friday, February 18, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5;00 p.m.


Route 132

• One-way traffic control from Hayward Road to Route 49 for drainage work beginning Monday


Route 140

• One-way traffic control from Hummingbird Lane to Route 49 North for tree work beginning Monday, February 14, through Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Mariposa Creek to Coakley Circle for electrical work beginning Monday, February 14, through Friday, February 18, 2022, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

• Moving lane closure for sweeping operations from Smith Road to Crane Creek from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. beginning Monday, February 14, through Friday, February 18, 2022.

Motorists should expect 5- to 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
