March 16, 2022 - Merced – On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 12:20 A.M. Officer Trevino observed a vehicle in the area of W. 16th Street and M Street with multiple lighting violations. Once stopped he determined that the driver had a suspended license. David Serena (23) a passenger in the vehicle was on active parole. Officer Trevino located an unregistered firearm hidden near where Serena was sitting as well as a small amount of cocaine. Serena was booked into the Merced County jail for various weapons charges, gang enhancements, and drug possession.
