March 29, 2022 - The Merced County Sheriff's Office reports on Sunday night, Deputy Ly attempted to perform a vehicle stop on a vehicle near Beachwood Drive and Cabot Avenue.

The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit began. The suspect finally pulled over on Willowbrook Drive near the front of the park.

A felony vehicle stop was initiated and the driver, Angel Llamas, was taken into custody.

Deputy Ly searched the vehicle and found two airsoft pistols, one airsoft rifle, two sets of nunchakus, an 8-ball of suspected methamphetamine, several fake 100 dollar bills, and a 6-point replica "Sheriff" badge were all recovered.

Additionally, Mr. Llamas was currently out on bail for unrelated charges. He is being booked into the Merced County Jail.
