...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following
  counties, Fresno and Merced.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM PST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1028 AM PST, Emergency management reported flooding in the
    warned area. In addition, large trees have been falling into
    roadways near Los Gatos Creek, including on Los Gatos Creek
    Rd. northwest of Coalinga. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen. Also, expect continued rises of streams in areas
    with flooding likely throughout western Fresno County,
    including along and just east of Interstate 5.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
    the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Coalinga, Cantua Creek, Huron, Spanish Lake, Zapato Chino
    Creek and Castle Mountain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
