January 12, 2023 – Thanks to CAL FIRE law enforcement officers and diligent community members, 162 arson arrests were made in 2022 following extensive investigations.

With most wildfires being human-caused in California, this year's record-setting number of arrests makes a significant impact towards combatting the potential for human-caused megafires in the state.
