March 13, 2023 - Madera County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they have been busy preparing for the next round of storms, predicted to begin later this evening. Crews are strategically placing sandbags in critical areas and continuously monitoring conditions throughout the county.

We would like to caution residents that the impacts to our community are not over. Madera County will maintain all available resources to mitigate the effects to our residents.

We encourage residents who may be impacted to begin preparing NOW for potential changes. It is critical that residents heed evacuation warnings from local officials. In the absence of an official notice, residents should pay attention to evolving conditions around their homes.
