April 3, 2023 - Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that just after 8:00 a.m. on April 1, 2023, TCSO Deputies were patrolling the town of Teviston when they saw a plume of smoke coming from the area of Avenue 80 and Highway 99.

Deputies headed to the scene and found a semi-truck on fire. The semi was pulling a trailer with about 50 dairy cattle. Deputies jumped into action and contained the fire to a small area until the fire department arrived.

This quick action by Deputies saved 47 cattle, unfortunately a few did not make it.

CHP took over the scene and investigation.
