May 2, 2023 - Fresno Police Department officials report on illegal street racing arrests.

These guys thought they were racing off into the sunset on Highway 99, when an officer from the Street Racing Task Force observed them weaving through vehicles in excess of 100 mph. The officer conducted a traffic stop on both vehicles. Both of the drivers were arrested for reckless driving charges and both vehicles were impounded for 30-days. During an inventory search prior to the tows, a loaded firearm was located in one of the vehicles. That driver was additionally booked for felony possession of a concealed weapon.

If you are engaging in illegal street racing and/or sideshow activity we will impound your vehicle for 30 days. Fresno is not the place to commit these hazardous crimes.
